Well those of you who thought Harry (now that's not Harry of Frank Bruno fame) but the newly acclaimed punter/owner superstar thinks that he is going to go to the Grand National with Denman, you should consider not believing everything you read in the papers. Lets look at this a bit more closely, lets assume that he is in top shape after he wins the Aon and goes to the Cheltenham Gold Cup and runs riot over his stablemate Kauto Star he will then have 2 Gold Cups under his girth. Will Paul then let Denman go to Aintree we suggest not.

26/11 - Paddy Power formally inviting Barack Obama to attend the Grand National

Following today's announcement by Gordon Brown that US President Elect Barack Obama intends to visit the UK next April to attend the G20 summit, bookmaker Paddy Power are formally inviting the new US President to attend the Aintree Grand National on April 4th as their special guest. 25/11 - Mr Pointment Needs Relief From Handicapper

A change of tactics for Mr Pointment were apparent from the off in the totesport.com Becher Handicap Chase as the 2007 winner was dropped out in the early stages by jockey Sam Thomas. The partnership made significant progress as the race developed taking the shortest route at the Canal Turn before Mr Pointment's stamina ran out and the horse almost pulled up inside the final furlong but then got going again when joined by other horses and ran on to regain second. For him to have a fighting chance at the National he will need some relief from the handicapper.
