Aintree Grand National Odds

The 2003 Grand National odds and finishing positions highlight that many of the fancied runners did not finish the race. Despite the few bookmakers that were hit with the owners bets taking out in the region of three quarters of a million pounds this was a good result for the bookmakers. Many of the fancied runners would have been backed each way by punters and with so many outsiders in the first four they would have done well with the horses that filled the money positions.
